The Payday is not a lender. It is an independent information and comparison service paid by affiliate commission.

Contact The Payday

You can reach The Payday using the form on this page. It is the only way to contact us. We do not operate a phone line, we do not have a public office, and we do not publish support hours, so please do not rely on us for anything time-sensitive about a loan.

Before you write, it is worth being clear about what we can help with. The Payday is an information and comparison site. We are not a lender, not a broker, and not a servicer, and that limits what is possible from our side more than most people expect.

What we can help with

The form above is a good route for any of the following.

  • Corrections: if something we have published is wrong, unclear, or out of date, tell us and we will look at it.
  • Editorial suggestions: a question you could not find answered here, or a guide you think is missing.
  • Partnership and advertising enquiries from providers interested in a listing, which would be a paid placement and labelled as such.
  • Privacy requests relating to information this website holds about you.
  • Accessibility problems with the site itself.
  • Press or research enquiries about how the site is built and funded.

If your question is about a loan you already have

  1. Find your loan agreement and the lender's name exactly as it appears on it.
  2. Contact that lender directly using the contact details in the agreement, and keep a written record of what is said.
  3. If the lender does not resolve it, raise the matter with your provincial consumer protection regulator, which handles complaints about payday lenders operating in your province.
  4. If the debt itself is becoming unmanageable, a non-profit credit counsellor or a licensed insolvency professional can review your whole situation, which is something no website can do.

Please do not send us personal financial details

Since we cannot act on an individual loan, there is no reason for us to hold your banking information, your identification, your account numbers, or copies of your agreement. Please do not send them. If you write to us about a correction or a general question, keep your message free of anything that identifies your accounts. If personal financial information reaches us unsolicited, we will delete it.

What to expect from a reply

The Payday is a small operation. We read what arrives and we reply to genuine enquiries, but we cannot commit to a response time and we will not pretend otherwise by publishing one. If your matter is urgent, particularly if it concerns a payment coming due, contact your lender rather than waiting on us. A reply from us is always general information, never advice about your individual circumstances.

Common questions

Can The Payday check the status of my application?

No. We have no access to any lender's systems and no visibility into any application. Contact the lender you applied with directly.

Can you tell me if I will be approved?

No. Approval decisions are made by lenders using their own criteria, and we play no part in them. We can only explain what lenders generally look at.

Is there a phone number?

No. The form on this page is the only contact method for The Payday. We do not publish a phone number, a mailing address, or support hours.

I think a lender treated me unfairly. Can you intervene?

We cannot intervene or act on your behalf. Complaints about payday lenders go to your provincial consumer protection regulator, and it helps to have your agreement and payment records ready.
